This is Kathy Rizzo. As Meg mentioned earlier this week, I had the opportunity to see the VP family while in Houston on a business trip. I want to share with you the highlight of my visit…
While I loved seeing Missy & Brent (he really does look great….it’s so hard to believe that he had brain surgery just over a week ago), my most favorite part of the visit was giving Zack and Luke a HUGE stack of homemade cards, letters and goodies from their MVPS classmates. They LOVED them! (A big thank you to Meg Christian, MVPS parent & friend, for this great idea!) The boys just lit up and were so excited. They read each one in detail, sharing them with one another – lots of “oh, look at this one!!” And of course, Missy & Brent loved them too, and I know that this kind gesture touched them deeply. Please tell your kiddos how very much their letters & cards meant to Zack and Luke, and the entire VP family!!
Missy said many times that she and Brent really appreciate all of the comments on the blog and FB, and also your emails and text messages. She hasn’t been able to respond to many messages, but she greatly appreciates each one that you send. Keep ‘em coming! J
Thank you to Hugh & Anna for opening their home to me during my brief stay. They are such wonderful people, and their home is just the perfect place for the VPs to stay while in Houston.

We are thinking of and continuing to pray for you guys! So glad to read that Brent is seemingly doing so well - truly is hard to believe it's only been ten days. You guys are so strong and continue to be strong. We look forward to receiving the updates. Keep the faith! :-)
