On May 27, 2005, Brent was
diagnosed with a brain tumor after having grand mal seizure. He had surgery on June 3, 2005 in Atlanta and
completed 18 monthly cycles of chemo. Once chemo was
completed, every 3 months, Brent would have an
MRI, alternating between MDAnderson in Houston and Emory in Atlanta.
In Feb 2011, his doctor at MDAnderson noticed a change in his MRI and told us to wait 3 more months to have a follow up MRI. In May 2011, we were devastated and shocked to find out that Brent once again needed to have surgery. He had his second craniotomy (brain surgery) on June 6, 2011 in Houston at MDAnderson. Shortly after surgery, Brent started chemo again and he has been enduring it each month. He will have to go through 24 rounds of chemo which will take us through the summer of 2013. Although his chemo is prescribed each month through Emory, we also travel to Houston every other month to monitor his progress with additional MRIs.
All we ask is for you to pray that Brent’s treatment is successful. Pray for Zack and Luke. I believe in miracles….Brent is my miracle…..and he will continue to be.
