Brent's Journey...Expect Miracles!

Hi Van Putten Fan Club!

First, my apologies for not posting yesterday. I know you are anxious for updates so I'm so sorry about that. Life just picked up where it left off when I got back from TX and is as crazy as ever with the last week of school etc.

I do love sharing the VP news with you...especially when it is good news, so here it goes...

Brent & Missy checked out of the Rotary House (fancy name for hospital hotel) yesterday and are now at the Residence Inn with the rest of their family. As a surprise, Bill (Missy's dad) showed up at the Rotary House with Zack and Luke to move Brent to the Residence Inn - Brent was thrilled with his surprise. He slept a lot during the day while Bill (AKA Graddy) took the boys to the Museum of Natural Science. A little later, Brent was able to sit by the pool and watch the boys play. Of course he loved being outside for a little while...even in the Houston heat. The boys got to see Brent's stiches for the first time and were totally fine with it. Kids are so resilient.

I talked briefly with Missy today. Brent was having a good day and Bill was taking the boys to NASA. I joked with Missy that the VP boys will have seen more of Houston than a lot of the locals! : )

To sum it all up, I'll quote what Missy said yesterday..."All in all, Brent had an amazing day and I am in awe of him". I think we would all agree that we are in awe of the entire Van Putten family. They are quite a team! Go Team VP!
